LaunchPoint Academy (LPA) is a new option for high school students in Syracuse, NY. With a family-like environment and a practical approach that integrates modern technology, group learning and optional training in the trades—all anchored in a biblical worldview—LPA is a place where young men and women can go to be welcomed, challenged and prepared.

Be part of a community
LPA has room for ten students for the 2025-2026 school year. These ten students will be accepted over the course of the year. We are here for those for whom, for whatever reason, the conventional high schools do not work out. (See our initial substack article for the rationale behind the school.)Out intention in limiting the class to ten is to ensure that each student is able to be given a high degree of personal attention.Students will be led to work together, support each other, and grow as a team. Through partnerships with local churches and businesses, students will also have opportunities to engage with the broader community—gaining perspective, building relationships, and exploring real-world opportunities as part of their daily formation in faith and purpose.

Modern tools, practical approach, flexible futures
At LaunchPoint Academy, we embrace modern tools—including artificial intelligence and adaptive technologies. We are also taking a novel and innovative approach to the classroom format. (A "modern one room schoolhouse" with a "pivot pod".) Our approach is intended to make it possible for each student to have personalized, efficient learning experiences.Furthermore, our method is practical and hands-on, using gamified challenges to reward effort. We accommodate students aiming for college, as well as those looking to enter a skilled trade, start a business or join the military.It is our goal to equip students with knowledge, skills, and the confidence to pursue the future that they choose.

Spiritual, mental and physical development
Our bodies are gifts from God—worthy of care, strength, and gratitude. At LPA, we serve fresh, nutritious breakfast and lunches each day.In addition, we are incorporating movement into our daily rhythm. Thanks to the cooperation with the West Area Athletic and Education Center (Ray Rinaldi's boxing gym), we are able to make use of the gym during the day. Students can also participate in boxing classes after school.

Backed by the community, accessible to all
Tuition at LaunchPoint Academy will be $500/month for those who can pay it. But no student will be turned away for financial reasons. Sponsorships are currently available. Please fill out the form below to apply.
